From Brainstorming to Publishing:
How to Write a Good Book Fast

Writing WeLL, Quickly

In fewer than 4 months, an idea became a book on Amazon that has sold thousands of copies internationally — The Digital Nomad Survival Guide. How did we manage to write over 40,000 words while working full-time jobs and traveling the world?

As project managers, my coauthor and I know how valuable a good, conscious processes is, and we had too many important things going on in our lives to waste time.

But we saw an opportunity & wanted to write this book. So we combined our professional skills with our travel experience to produce a useful, coherent book… fast.

Now, as the Head of Content for an ecommerce company, I am responsible for strategizing & writing email newsletters, blog posts, and product pages seen by thousands of people every day.

For my clients as well as my personal projects, I have to write copy that communicates, entertains, and sells – daily. So I create strategic processes that reduce friction and empower me to write well, quickly. And that is learnable (and teachable).

The Workshop

One workshop isn’t enough time to write a book, but it is enough time to get a better understanding of how you can approach the project step-by-step to actually reach the finish line, whether that’s hitting publish on a book or a blog post.

Using my experience with brand strategy, project management, and content creation, I have developed an approach that makes writing projects of all kinds easier by using clear strategies & steps.

Along with learning my process, simple exercises will help you get your initial idea onto the page & make progress on your book.

  1. Define

  2. Organize

  3. Design

  4. Write

  5. Edit

  6. Self-Publish

By working through these steps, you will:

  • clarify what you’re writing & who you’re writing it for

  • create a clear style guide and outline of the content you need to share

  • gather visual references and make a creative brief for the cover

  • develop an executable plan to write, edit, and finalize the full book draft

  • understand what’s needed to self-publish on Amazon
